For almost three years, I have taken a morning walk and sketched something that has caught my eye. This daily practice has shown me the power of capturing images over time and the value of letting ideas evolve slowly and show themselves in small moments. I have shared my finds and sketches on Instagram over the years, and now I am delighted to announce that I have created a series of black line paintings on linen inspired by my favorite sketches.
I’ve found that if I give myself just a little bit of time and focus, the natural world reveals her magic to me. I usually find something minimal that most people walk past. I take great pride in discovering and documenting my discoveries.
Keeping the paintings minimal accentuates the essence of what I’ve found on my walks. Often, using the most limited of means can lead to the most beautiful results.

Paying attention to subtle shifts in nature has led me to be able to see previously unnoticed transformations in my everyday life. This is a new way for me to see not only plants but people. Change is happening moment by moment and if I don’t stop even for a brief moment, I’ll miss it.
